And he's cruising...Finally!!
And only just a little bit behind sister! Mykayla was just about exactly 16 months (according to her baby book, not a detail I remembered off the top of my head). Michael was a little over 16 months. We were sure the day would never come! Adam had resorted to consulting the internet as to "Why doesn't my child walk?" Yeah I am pretty sure he Googled it! His research showed that 1. His shoes and socks should be removed 2. He should be held under the arms/waist area to help with balance and 3. Possibly his shoes were too big. So each day when we got home and daddy was home, he would strip off his shoes and socks and we would have a walking session. Nevermind that he walked to food! (Details, details! Speaking of details, both of my children first walked/crawled to food. Hmmm, wonder what they are motivated by : ) I also purchased some size 4 Nike plain white velcro shoes for him and he just took off! It has been so fun watching him figure it all out and see that he can get places on his own two feet. I am sure I will be blogging again in about two weeks about how I wish he was NOT mobile but for now I will enjoy it and try not to think about the fact that it also means he is getting to be more and more of a toddler every day.

35 Years!
Happy 35th wedding anniversary to my wonderful, loving and caring parents!
Today is my parents 35th wedding anniversary. This picture was taken last weekend at Great Wolf Lodge. So in 35 years, they have had 3 daughters, gained 3 son-in-laws ( I remember the days the boys started hanging around more often. My poor mother was in shock for a long time. She was used to girls, man did the boys change everything.) They also have 6 grandchildren ranging from 2 months old to 10 years old. My parents are a true blessing in my life and I cannot imagine life without them! My kids adore their grandparents and my parents adore and SPOIL their grandchildren. Thank you mom and dad for everything!!
The Kinyon summer do
So I got my hair cut yesterday. It is one many of my family and friends affectionately call the Kinyon (my maiden name) summer do. Grow it out long during the fall, winter and early spring then chop to the shoulders in the summer. Yes, that is exactly what it is but I love it! My only requirement was that I could pull it at least half up when I am working with my kids at work. She cut off 6 inches and also took the thinning scissors to the back of my hair. It is weird having

A first time for everything....
All right, here goes! My first blog post on the 1st of April, thought that was pretty fitting (and no, not an April Fools joke. I may however be fooling myself for trying to start this but we will see!) I must, first and foremost thank my wonderful sister in law Amanda for inspiring me to do this. She writes a blog called Pretty Little Life and it is amazing. I look forward to reading her posts each day and seeing pictures of my adorable niece Elliott! So thank you Amanda!
I am still working on the design of my blog and well just simply navigating Blogger but so far am having fun and will soon have it just how I like it. I plan to use my blog to document my wonderful family (see above), some crafting, photos and much, much more!! I am excited to link up to some challanges and other blogs also. They all look so fun!
Hope you all will hang in there with me while I play!
